Let’s Talk!! No News About 2017 Headies Award Yet, Do You Think Headies Is Dead?

From 2006 to January 1st, 2017, a year has never passed by in the entertainment industry without the Headies Award.

As a matter of fact, the consistent efforts of the organizers of the award have made stakeholders in the music industry label the award as the most prestigious in Nigeria.

Traditionally, the news of Headies Award nominees list and ceremony date do spark up tension in the minds of anxious-to-win Nigerian artistes and their fans. In short, the anticipation rate of Headies Award is always on 99.9 percentage level.

Alas, it is already December 2017, no official or unofficial information has come from the organizers of Headies concerning this year’s edition of the award.

Does this mean, HEADIES AWARD is DEAD?

You will recall that many Nigerian artistes including all members of YBNL and Mavin crew boycotted the 2016 edition of the award 🤔

So, does this mean in terms of credibility, Reekado Banks and Lil Kesh ‘Next Rated’ controversy at the 2015 headies has finally hunted down the Headies Award?
